The Beauty Of Grace
Grace is a beautiful gift we receive from God that cannot be compared to any other. The sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ opened the floodgates of grace. There was great outpouring of grace by reason of this precious sacrifice. A costly price was paid to usher mankind into God’s abundant grace. We wouldn’t have been reconciled to God without grace. After reconciliation, came other blessings.
There are many explanations and descriptions of grace. Some call it God’s unmerited favour to man. Some say it’s God’s riches at Christ’s expense. Others call it unlimited divine favour. So forth the list goes. Whichever explanation we choose, all point to the same thing- divine free gift, favour, privilege, blessings, love, mercy. Grace is God being good and showing love to His beloved children without suffering them to pay for it. It’s a gift born out of love. Under grace, we are freely given and freely blessed. So much is freely provided to man under God’s grace.
By grace ye are saved. Ephesians 2:5
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
We are saved by grace. Not by ourselves are we saved but by the grace of God. We cannot pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus paid the penalty and released the grace for our salvation. By His grace we are saved. By His grace we are redeemed from darkness into God’s righteousness and light. Grace brought salvation to man. We are not saved by our works. We have no works to present to the Lord. Grace saved us through Jesus Christ.
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Romans 6:14-15
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. Titus 2:11-12
God’s nature is righteousnes. He is unchangeable and can never condone or endorse sin. The grace of God came to establish the righteousness of God in us, not sin. The grace of God empowers us to live the life God requires of us- a life filled with His righteousness. Under grace we are enabled to please God in righteousness. We cannot keep the law and the righteousness of God by ourselves. We are not able to obey God in our strength. But grace gives us the ability to do so. It enables us to live in obedience to God and in the centre of His will. It gives us the ability to live the life required of us by God which we cannot live in our own strength. Grace makes the new life easy and possible for the redeemed. We are strengthened by grace. The proof of a life under grace is righteousness, not sin. When you live in sin, you make the grace of God of no effect and void in your life. Grace is God’s ability in us to live right.
By the grace of God I am what I am. 1 Corinthians 15:10
God’s blessings come by grace. We cannot work enough to earn or pay for God’s blessings. All we have we received by grace. We are what we are by grace. Grace made us. For every blessing of God in our lives, grace brought it our way. We cannot boast of anything. We do not deserve any blessing and are not worthy of any except by the grace of God. Grace opens doors that are humanely impossible. It grants us opportunities and places us in positions we didn’t dream of. It turns situations around way beyond our comprehension.
We see and enjoy more the beauty of God’s grace when we choose to rely on it. When we accept and depend on the grace of God, we enter the realm of possibilities and abundance beyond our imagination. There we see that all things are possible through God by His grace. Life becomes easy. Things begin to fall into place because of grace. What we struggled for in the past now come to us easily, without much struggle; all because of grace.
Grace works with faith. Believe in Jesus Christ and enjoy God’s grace to live. That’s why grace was given; that you would believe and live by it. For that reason God showered His grace upon us through His Son Jesus Christ. Receive His Son and receive His grace into your life. You can’t make it by your struggles. You can’t make it on your own. You are not strong enough to do so. Life’s strong weight and obstacles will overpower and weigh you down. Don’t lean on your strength. Depend on God through His grace. Let Him bless you through grace. Lay hold of grace. Let it be your daily life anchor. Soar by God’s grace. Experience the beauty of His grace.
May the Holy Spirit guide your heart as you read the following verses meditatively.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:21
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. 2 Timothy 1:9
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Romans 5:15
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:21
