In Thanksgiving And Praise

Welcome to the new year. There's no better way to begin the year than in thanksgiving and praise to God. All thanksgiving and praise to Him that brought us into the new year. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are here. He intentionally brought us this far and we owe Him the gratitude. Psalm 100:4-5 says,

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

The new year belongs to God. He brought it into existence, so we enter it in thanksgiving to Him. We begin the year in praise to His name. It is of His everlasting mercies we were not consumed last year. It is also of the same mercies we are witnessing this new year. We bless His name.

To have a successful year we need the Lord in it. There is just one way of succeeding in the new year- it is to know the Lord, dwell in His presence and live in obedience to Him. This is a year of fellowship with God. It is a year to walk with Him. Let us live this year with Him and walk in the purpose for which He created us, the reason for which He brought us this far.

So buckle up. We are about to have a beautiful year with God. Be excited for your walk with Him this year and for His will that He has began already in your life.
