Believe
As we begin another journey into another year, believing God and relying on Him is key to a victorious year. Trusting Him is a secure path to victory in the new year. Believing Him will make all the difference. If we are going to experience the good year we desire, we must have God and faith in Him at the centre of it. We must believe.
Faith doesn't cost us a thing. Rather it gives peace and brings calmness because we rely on a Father that is able, a Father that cares and keeps His Word, a Father that has never failed anyone and will never fail us. Faith is a sign that we trust God to take care of things on our behalf. It's an evidence of our confidence in Him.
The Scripture says we can't please God where and when there is no faith. To please God this year, you and I need faith. Let us make the new year a year of faith. Let us believe all of God's Word. Let us believe all His promises. Let us believe all He says to us concerning the year. We need to believe that the dreams and goals He says He would accomplish through us this new year would surely be accomplished. We need to believe that the blessings He assures us of will be ours this year. He's God and does not lie. The Scripture says:
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?- Numbers 23:19
The easiest way to live this year is to believe the God that does not lie. The best way to navigate in the new year is to have all hope and trust on the God that has all power, in whom there's no impossibility. Cast this year upon Him in faith. Walk with Him in faith. Jesus told Jairus whose daughter He raised from the dead, "Be not afraid, only believe". The same He tells us this year, not to walk in fear but in faith. If we only believe, we'll see the gracious hand of God and His blessings upon our lives all through the year. Only believe!
