There Is God In Them
Don’t pack your suitcase in search of God. He’s right where you are. We meet Him everyday. We see Him everyday. God comes to us everyday but unfortunately we walk pass Him because we have another idea of how He should appear to us. We want to encounter God and that’s beautiful. God wants us to encounter Him too. We want to move mountains for God and render great services unto His Kingdom. That’s okay by God. But how can we be faithful in much when we neglect the least? We don’t get to decide the greatness of the service that we render to the Lord. He does. After all it’s His Kingdom, so it’s His decision. And the services we call little might actually be the greatest. So hold on a bit in your quest for God in high places and in your zeal for great services to Him. Stop for a while and look around. God is so close, waiting for you to meet Him and serve Him in the places He most needs you.
That woman at the roadside that needs your help- there’s God in her waiting to meet with you and waiting for you to serve Him. Walk up to her and help her as you can and God will smile at you and say, “Well done child”. That family that can’t afford a meal in a day and you watch them scavenge through the dirt bin, seeking for spoilt left-overs to eat- there’s God in them waiting for you to serve and encounter Him. Offer them a meal or two and God will smile at you and say, “Well done child”. Those children that are not in school because their parents can’t afford it; that lady that comes to Church in tattered clothes, carrying a worn out Bible; the couple on the street right now because they are behind on their rent; that little homeless boy that knocked on your door for a glass of water when what he actually needed was a plate of food- there’s God in all of them waiting to meet with you and for your service. Will you serve Him? It’s always great, serving the Lord.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25: 34-40
Don’t go through life without taking care of the things God wants you to take care of. That’s why He placed them on your path. Don’t seek God in great things and through great ways when He is waiting for you in small things. If you neglect Him in the small things, you may not see Him in the great places. Everyday that we see God in other people, let’s serve Him. Let’s minister to Him. And when we do, we will discover how blessed it is to serve God.
So don’t go searching for God elsewhere. He is right there with you where you are. Don’t go looking for great mountains to move for His Kingdom. Move the little ones around you, then you will have a clear vision to move the ones that are bigger.
