The Expectations Of The Righteous
Everyone has an expectation or expectations. Consciously or unconsciously, we all do. There are things we expect or hope for at the moment, in the long run or nearest future. It is in our nature as human beings. It is out of place to live without expectations of some sort. For the one that knows the Lord, such expectations are anchored in Him. Our expectations, desires and hopes stem from the fact that we have the Lord who makes all things possible, including our expectations.
Thine expectation shall not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18
Proverbs 23:18 says your expectation shall not be cut off. Because you know the Lord, your expectations shall not be hindered or withheld from you. Every expectation anchored on God can never be cut off. Every hope that is placed in God can never be denied. Hope in God never disappoints. Contrary circumstances cannot stop our expectations from manifestation. Issues and things that seem like impossibilities shouldn’t cause you to lose your hope in God or get discouraged. God excels in impossibilities. He is the God of all impossibilities. In Him, impossibilities are made possible.
Tide and time cannot stop the expectations of the man whose hope is built on God. Whatever the situation and however long you’ve hoped and waited, it shall come to pass. It shall manifest. God has never disappointed anyone. He will never disappoint you. He will grant you your desires according to His will and time. He will answer those prayers that have been on your lips for some time. So don’t give up or give in to the enemy. Don’t accept that it’s over with you, because the Lord is not over with you. He has a lot coming your way, much more than you’re asking from Him; much more than your expectations. He is on your side. Keep holding on. You are almost there.
God expects His children to anticipate great things from Him. He loves it when we have high expectations of what He will do in our lives. He wants us to think big and expect big things from Him; not mediocrity. Don’t live a defeated life. Don’t live in hopelessness. Believe God for great things. Anticipate beautiful things from Him. Expect great things from Him and you’ll have them. Live in victory. Live with the right mindset of who you are- the child of the loving and the all-powerful God. Your expectations and prayers are never forgotten by this loving Father. They can never be cut off. He will bring them to pass unto the glory of His name. He makes all things beautiful in its time.
