The Birth That Would Change The World
The greatest gift that we would ever have is the gift of Jesus Christ. He is the greatest gift of time, life and love. He is a gift that will never be forgotten throughout history and in eternity. He was given by God as a proof of His love for us. Jesus is the highest token of love that there would ever be.
The life of mankind depends on Jesus, the Son of God. He was born for our salvation, redemption, healing, blessings, reunion with God and everything we would need. In Him we have life. The birth of Jesus changed everything. His coming brought us back to God. He reconciled us to the Father. Our restoration to God was because of Him. Isaiah 9:6-7 says this about His birth.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Just like the other prophets, Isaiah prophesied the birth of Jesus. He foretold of this birth that would change the world. He said the zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. The zeal of the Lord of hosts performed this prophecy the very moment Jesus was born on earth.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:21-23
It is so amazing that God would take on flesh, become a man, just to save man. It is a mystery beyond us- that God the maker of the universe would come down to be a human being like us, dwell among men, live like every other human, in His quest to save us. What a God and what a strange way to save the world! We can call it wonders of His love. Such an act can only be done by a Father that loves His children in the most uncommon way. No wonder John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus is the gift that secures our abundant life here and in eternity. He is a gift, and a gift comes free of charge. When a gift is given, it can be received or it can be rejected. The gift that should never be rejected is the gift of Jesus, the Saviour. Rejecting Him is rejecting life. Receiving Him is receiving life. Jesus was born because of you. Receive Him. Let Him reign supreme in your life. He is God’s love expressed. Don’t trample on this love.
God gave His best for you. He gave Himself. He gave His Son. He came for you because you are worth it. Let Him in.
