Begin With God
Every beginning of the year offers us a new beginning. It's a new start and we are grateful to God for it. We are given another chance at life at the beginning of every year. A new slate we are given to write afresh. It's another opportunity to correct the errors and mistakes of the previous year or years. We have the privilege to get it right this time, to succeed where we failed in the past, to do the things we should do but neglected to do and to avoid the things we should avoid.
Having a fresh start in the new year is beautiful. But what makes the difference is what we do with the fresh opportunity offered to us. Moving in the same pattern that got us stuck in the previous year would still get us stuck in the new year. Doing the same things that yielded no good last year would still yield no good this year. You can't keep following the path that lead to failure and expect success. If we want success, something has to change.
As we begin again this year, we must move away from what creates the problems and move towards what propels us in success and victory. We must disengage from what has the tendency to derail us and engage what keeps our focus on the right path. And we can't do these without God. He is our ultimate help in life. With Him as our anchor and at the helm of our affairs we are rest assured our ship will sail to safety, victory and success this year.
You have another year to begin again. Begin it with God. You can't do it alone. You need God in everything. Have Him in everything you do this year. Make Him the centre of your life. If you desire a successful year that would not record the failures and errors of the previous year, begin the year with God and walk with Him through it. Commit all your ways and your entire life to God and be confident that this new beginning will birth great things in your life. Begin with God and have a beautiful year.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.- Isaiah 43:19
