The United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has ripped the UN over their stance against Israel. She condemned the United Nations in very strong terms, decrying their double standard over the State of Israel. She said “It’s the first meeting like that, that I’ve attended, and I have to say, it was a bit strange,”. She blasted the UN after The Security Council’s regular monthly meeting on Middle East issues.
“The security council is supposed to discuss how to maintain international peace and security, but in our meeting on the Middle East, the discussion was not about Hezbollah’s illegal buildup of rockets in Lebanon, it was not about the money and weapons Iran provides to terrorists, it was not about how we defeat ISIS, it was not about how we hold Bashar al-Assad accountable for the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of civilians, no, instead, the meeting focused on criticizing Israel, the one true democracy in the Middle East,” stated Haley.
Nikki Haley’s pro-Israel words and her stance against the United Nations over her discrimination of Israel went viral on the internet. The Israeli Prime minister- Benjamin Netanyahu did not hesitate to share the video on his Facebook page with a thank-you post: “US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, thank you for your unequivocal support for Israel! It’s time to put an end to the absurdity in the United Nations.” The Israeli UN representatives, the Israeli ambassadors and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not hesitate to do same.
Emanuel Nachshon, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it signals the beginning of a new era in which the world’s biggest power says enough to the discrimination against Israel in international institutions. He referred to it as ‘a substantial moment’.
