In All You Do
Living in honour to God and for His glory is the Lord's command to His children. It's not a suggestion, but a divine command. Our whole life and everything in it must glorify the Lord. Not some of it, but all of it. This includes the 'big' areas and the 'tiny' things in our lives. The things we call 'tiny' if not done in manner that honours God can bring great dishonour to Him. If the Lord says we should honour Him even in the 'tiny' things, how much more the big issues.
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.- 1 Corinthians 10:31
Your life is not in compartments. There's nothing like your 'secular life'. The whole of your life and everything in it is your spiritual life and is dedicated unto the Lord. It is a whole before the Lord, and He wants the whole of it for Himself. Let the whole of your life shine as light in a dark world in honour of God.
We are different from the world. We cannot live like them and honour God. We can't talk like them, dress like them, act like them and honour the Lord at the same time. We don't live in the sin of the world and expect God to be honoured or glorified. The world would not take us seriously if we are just like them. A life of sin cannot honour God. Sin does not glorify Him.
Glorifying and honouring God with all of your life means living for Him. It means waking up every morning with the intentionality to honour and glorify God and His name in all you do through the whole day. From the rising of the sun to the setting of it, honour the Lord. All through each day, glorify God. Let others be drawn to Him by the life you live.
