If God Said It
A song says, "God said it. I believe it. That settles it." If God said it, and you believe Him, then it's settled. God will do what He said He'll do, unless He didn't say it. If He said it, He'll do it. There's no argument. No promise or Word of God drops to the ground without fulfillment. The Scripture says He watches His Word to perform it. He's not a man that He should lie.
Jeremiah 1:12
Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Man may lie, but not God. Man may fail in his word, but not God. Man may deny his promise, God will never. Man may lack the capacity to keep his promise even if he intends to, but not God. There's no limitation in Him. There's no impossibility in Him. He's not bound by circumstances or time. He's not bound by anything or anyone. He's God, and can do all things.
People do say God's promises may be delayed but can't be denied. But the truth is, God doesn't delay. Whenever He fulfills His promise is the right time for it. God's Word and promises are established at the right time, not a second late or a second early. So whatever we may call delay is not delay, but God waiting for the right time.
God doesn't forget His promises. Whatever promises He gave you, wait for them. They will surely be fulfilled when the time is right before Him. He has not forgotten you. Neither has He forgotten the promises He made to you. Don't despair. God will surely manifest His promises concerning you. Don't throw in the towel. Don't let the spirit of discouragement shake your faith. Don't let the lies of the devil take root in you, confuse or derail you.
With faith, keep your eyes on God. Continue to believe Him. Continue to believe what He said. Continue to hold onto Him, His Word and promises. If He said it, He'll do it. In due time, you'll rejoice.
