Consider Your Options
The decisions we make in life are weighty. Most times they determine a lot. Good decisions are gratifying while poor or wrong decisions can lead to hurts and disappointments. A lot of people have made wrong decisions in the area of businesses and are living in loss and regrets. Some have made wrong decisions in associates and relationships and are biting their fingers for it. Most wrong decisions though bad, may not carry with them eternal consequences. But there is just one decision that carries with it eternal consequences. It is a decision we should not toy with. If we do, we will forever bear its consequences.
There is eternity for every soul that was created by God. We all will live forever. It is not optional, including those that say there’s no eternity. Eternity is a fact and true. That someone doesn’t believe in it doesn’t stop it from being a fact. Neither does it stop the person that doesn’t believe from facing it.
We decide on where we would spend eternity while we are still here. There’s only one beautiful choice. There’s only one great decision that leads to the right place in eternity. That choice is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Many years ago, He became man to save man. He left His Kingdom and dwelt on earth, just to salvage man. The sole mission of the journey of Jesus from Heaven to earth was for the salvation of mankind. He didn’t come for fanfare or just to show off His power and authority. He came for the single reason of rescuing mankind.
Jesus suffered a lot when He was on earth. Finally He was nailed to the cross by the same man He came to rescue. He died on the cross and was buried, but after three days He rose from the dead. Grave could not hold Him. Hell couldn’t stop Him. After perfecting the plan of salvation, He went back to Heaven, leaving us to decide what to do with what He did for us.
Let us consider our options. It is the most critical thing we would ever do. We cannot afford not to choose Jesus Christ. He alone is the way. He alone is life. In Him we find escape from sin, escape from judgment, eternal condemnation and hell. There are no alternatives to Him and His sacrifice. If you decide not to choose Him, then you have decided to choose judgment, eternal condemnation and hell. You can’t ignore Him and miss eternal punishment.
This decision is greater than every other decision we would make in life. It ushers us into eternity and lives with us in it. Take it very seriously. Consider your choice. If we cross over to the other side of life, we won’t be able to change our decision and our destination. Then it would be too late. We can only make the right decision about Jesus NOW! Do it NOW because you are not too sure of tomorrow. Nobody is. That’s why we only have NOW to decide. Consider your options and choose Jesus Christ. He only is the right choice for us here and in eternity.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
